Toogle Devil update

We were able to watch Toogie Devil gallop at the training farm in Paris, Kentucky this past week and he looked great. He has a beautiful stride and is very light on his feet for such a big tall horse. He will be shipping from the training farm to the track in Lexington, KY tomorrow afternoon and will be stabled there with Josh Signs from now on.

One Bad Actor's 6th Race Result

One Bad Actor ran another super race last night, finishing second by a length. He sat fifth most of the race, about five lengths behind the leader on the rail. Going into the last turn he started to make his move. By the end of the turn he had caught the leader, who came off the rail. One Bad Actor took advantage of the opening and went through on the rail to take the lead. He fought off the leader all the way down the stretch and looked like he had the race won, when the eventual winner came up the middle of the track and caught him just before the wire. It was another solid effort for the young, and still learning, One Bad Actor.

Toogle Devil update

Toogie Devil has been continuing his training at the Paris, KY training facility. He has advanced rather quickly, so we will be shipping him to Joshua Signs to begin his track training. We have a tentative date of October 6th set for shippingg him to Josh at the Keeneland Thoroughbred Training Center in Lexington, KY. He is doing really well and we look forward to watching him progress in his track training. Based on his progress, we expect he'll start racing no earlier than the end of the first quarter of next year.

OneBad Actor update

One Bad Actor will make his next start on Wednesday, September 30th in the 4th race at Turfway Park. Post time is 8:17 PM for the one mile route on the all weather track. He breaks from post position #2 in a nine horse field. Jockey Minguel Mena will be back aboard.

One Bad Actor's Workout Update

One Bad Actor put in his best breeze to date this morning when he breezed four furlongs in 48.1 seconds. He breezed from the starting gate in company and had a very nice start from the gate. He did the breeze all on his own and galloped out five furlongs in 1:01.4 seconds. At the request of our trainer, the clocker amended the time to 49 seconds for the published work. Because he is running at the maiden claimer level, we did not want to show a breeze that looked too impressive, as it might attract some interest in someone looking to claim a horse. Overall, it was a very nice breeze and gallop out. We'll begin to look for a spot for his next start, as we hope to race him in the first or second week of September.

He did get into the other race though, so he will be racing at Ellis park on Saturday, August 8th. It is the second race on the card with a post time of 12:39 PM CST (1:39 PM EST). He breaks from post twelve in a twelve horse field. The race is one mile on the dirt. Tony Farina will be in the irons. We will be running him with blinkers-off (an equipment change that we hope will help him).

Update on One Bad Actor

One Bad Actor breezed three furlongs in 38.2 seconds at the Thoroughbred Training Center in Lexington, KY on the 2nd of July. More importantly, we tried a spray product in his throat, called Wind Aid, to assist him in breathing and getting him to relax so that he does not "flip his pallot". He breezed nice and easy for the first two furlongs, then, just like in a race, the jockey shook the leather and whacked him with the whip a few times and asked him to run all out. He looked terrific and responded beautifully. Hopefully, this Wind Aid will help him overcome the pallot issue in his next race. Although we tried to simulate the conditions of a race, you never know what will happen for sure until we actually race him. At this point, we are optomistic that this product can help him.

Update on Toogle Devil

Toogie Devil arrived in Kentucky over the weekend. He shipped in well with no incidents. We will likely give him a few days to adjust to his new environment before we resume his training process. He is on a training farm located in Paris, KY and will continue to train him there until we think he is ready to head to our trainer, Josh Signs, in Lexington, KY. We expect that he will be at this training facility for at least 3 or 4 months. Josh Signs is actively involved in monitoring his training and development and his close proximity should be a big asset as we go forward.

Update on One Bad Actor

He finished 7th in his race Saturday. He ran decent for a while and then developed a problem that completely took him out of the race. He "flipped his pallot" and had difficulty breathing. When this occurs in a horse, a piece of tissue in his throat "flips" and blocks his air way. It's not uncommon and there are things we can do to help him with this problem.

Horse New Partnership "Toogle Devil"

TOOGLE DEVIL

This colt is by Devil His Due, winner of $3,900,000. Devil His Due won the Wood Memorial (G-1), Pimlico Special (G-1), Gulfstream Park H. (G-1) and the Suburban H. (G-1) (Twice!), in additional to several G-2 and G-3 races. He is the sire of such well known horses as Roses in May ($3,900,000 in earnings), Spite the Devil ($850,000 in earnings), She's a Devil Due, Southern Missile, Devil Time and Stop thcrown races by a nose to Affirmed. However, he did win the Champagne S. (G-1), Sapling S. (G-1), Florida Derby (G-1), Flamingo S. (G-1), Bluegrass S. (G-1) and the Traverse S. (G-1) as well as many other stakes races. He was a phenominal horse and his fillies have been some of the best broadmare sires in the industry.Toogie Too has had two horses hit the track so far and they are both winners. One, Farewell My Lovely, is a stakes placed horse, and the other, Toogie Two Shoes already has three wins.e Train - just to name a few.His dam is the unraced Toogie Too by the famous Alydar. Hall of Fame inductee Alydar had fourteen wins and earned almost $1,000,000. He is best known for finishing second in all three triple.

One Bad Actor
A Ten Most Wanted Colt. Im own a Percentage in a partnernership. This is my first partnership in Horse Racing.The trainer is Joshua Signs. He is currently training and will be running in Ketucky. His First Start will be in the Spring/Summer meet.
Update:
One Bad Actor continues to train well in Kentucky. We will begin to increase the intensity of his daily workouts during the month of January and he should begin breezing in February. We are hoping to see him race for the first time in April. He is doing great.

Update 12/31:

One Bad Actor is galloping twelve furlongs every day and is doing really well. We will begin to increase the intensity of his workouts in January with the goal of starting to breeze him in February. We are hoping that he will see his first race before the end of April. He is stabled at the Keeneland Thoroughbred Training Center in Lexington, KY.
Update Jan. 5th:
One Bad Actor broke twice from the starting gate this past week, once in company with another horse. He broke about two lengths behind the other horse, but it was a good effort for his first try in company. His gate work is coming along nicely and we are very pleased with his progress.
